Why doesn't anyone talk about travel fatigue?

Here's a travel truth that's hard to admit - sometimes we don't come home calm, rested and ready to tackle everyday life with renewed energy. Sometimes we come back exhausted, especially after a long trip.

There are many reasons for this, but don't worry - we have written some facts that will make it easier for you when you return home.

  1. Before you set off, take care of any urgent errands, clean your home, etc. – In this way, you will return to a clean home, which will certainly suit you when you return home.

  2. Stay hydrated, exercise, get enough sleep, and try to cut down on alcohol and caffeine—at least while your body is trying to get over jet lag.

  3. While it's tempting to spend every last minute of your vacation at your destination, coming home Sunday night and going back to work on Monday is a way to make you feel terrible. Try to allow a few recovery days after any trip to give yourself time to adjust to your daily pace.

  4. Coming home from a great vacation can be a bad thing and a good thing, because it means said vacation is over; and this emotional slump can increase feelings of fatigue. Help maintain a sense of well-being by treating yourself to something to look forward to when you get home.

"True rest is feeling as if every cell is thanking you for taking care of you. It's calm, not full of checklists and tasks. It's simple: there's no multitasking; not fixing broken things.” — Jennifer Williamson

Bon voyage. :)
