Tips for a holiday in Italy so that you go on holiday more aware.. ;)

The world is full of beautiful destinations, people to visit and meet, breath-taking views, and history to learn about. But in Italy, it is different; there is something that moves our souls, what we all dreamed of this magic, this carefree life.

Here are some of our tips for a better holiday in Italy:

  1. Cappuccino is "allowed" only for breakfast; later, you should order an espresso.

  2. Dinner usually starts after 19:30.

  3. Try not to order a pineapple pizza or ask for ketchup because the locals will find it "rude" to their food culture.

  4. Make sure you get real Italian gelato. A lot of ice cream shops in Italy are geared towards tourists, and you can tell by the fact that they have a mountain of ice cream, but in reality, you shouldn't see any ice cream.

  5. Avoid eating food on the streets and sitting on monuments because you may get fined.

  6. Wake up at sunrise and explore the cities without the crowds.

  7. Bring suitable clothing—something that covers your shoulders and knees—if you plan to visit places like the Vatican.

  8. Don't expect cars to stop when you cross the road.

  9. Don't bathe in water fountains because you can get into serious trouble.

  10. Eat and enjoy delicious pasta and wine, because what else would you like to do in Italy?

"Italy was a country where the soul went to find peace and love, and I wanted to have the best of that in the palm of my hand." - Lisa Brennan-Jobs

Bon voyage. :)
