Things we will no longer do as solo or joint travellers

All of our travels together have taught us a few lessons, including how not to make the same mistakes over and over again.

Here's a collection of things we've tried ourselves and learned from so we won't do it again.

1. Letting fear stop you.

2. Sharing too many details, such as that you travel alone.

3. To tell the truth when a man or woman asks if you are traveling alone. – always deny!

4. Post your exact location on social media.

5. Too much baggage.

6. Never leave your drink unattended.

7. Being too polite.

8. You don't research where you are traveling.

9. Being quite drunk in a foreign country.

Of course, this isn't to suggest that you become paranoid and stop enjoying solo or group travel, just that you take sensible steps to be more cautious and worry less about everything.
