The most famous tourist mistakes and scams in Vienna so that you will be more careful

Vienna is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. When you walk through its streets, you are "assaulted" by views of wonderful buildings, culture, and, unfortunately, tourist scams.

We believe that when you intend to "take over" Vienna, you should literally take over Vienna in its entirety. Below, we have listed some of the most famous scams in Vienna to help you:

1. Don't go out without cash because all shops, bars, etc. do not accept payment cards.

2. Do not use taxis; rather, use public transport because it is very reliable and much cheaper.

3. Don't buy bottled water. Bring your own water bottle to fill up, as there are many free water fountains in the city center.

4. Don't buy fake opera tickets from the "Mozarts". You will see them in front of the Cathedral of St. Stefan. If you want to see an opera performance, try to buy a ticket online.

5. Don't stand on the left side of the escalator because people will get mad (speaking from experience, haha) if you don't let them pass you. Better stand on the right side.

Our favourite advice is definitely that wherever you go, go with all your heart.
