Our three-hour bus ride..

Today we're going to tell you our story about an unpleasant bus journey, and there have been quite a few, but this one tops the list. The trip was from Maribor (Slovenia) to Vienna (Austria), which is about 3 and 1/2 hours by bus, so for about half an hour on the way we were just on the phone and browsing about the weather, what else we were going to visit, our accommodations, etc.

All of a sudden, everyone on the bus starts screaming, and when we say scream, we mean literally screaming at the top of their lungs. As we look up, the bus is turning right at literally 70 miles an hour, and its because the bus driver was looking at his phone while driving and barely focused on the road, so he didn't notice that he was no longer going straight and that it had drifted completely to the right.

The bus started scraping against the metal fence – literally, the reason the bus didn't go over the edge was because everyone started screaming, which finally got his attention, and after that, you'd assume the driver wasn't going to go on his phone again and is now focused on the road. The bus driver still wasn't driving in a straight line; he would have had to keep swerving and swerving and swerving. He could have been drunk; we won't say he was, but there's a chance he was.

You should have seen when it was happening. We were all holding on to our seats because we literally felt like we were on a roller coaster. We didn't know what was going to happen. We emailed the company in the meantime to say we were really concerned, but nothing happened; they obviously didn't care. When we booked this ride before our trip, they were rated 10 out of 10, no complaints, but this one was pretty horrible, but we made it to Vienna in one piece.
