Our short but sweet break

In the previous post and article, you could see that we were on a well-deserved vacation in Italy and, of course, somewhere other than our Trieste.

We are all aware that Trieste itself is wonderful and yes, despite having been their countless times, we are still discovering new bars, galleries, hidden corners, and new tourist scams. Yes, we are talking about tourist scams again because every year we discover new ones ourselves or from acquaintances, but this year we were especially careful in Trieste.

The most likely influence was that not long ago we discovered a trend on the TikTok social network that became world-famous overnight, namely that the lady publicly shouts: "Attenzione, pick pocket, attenzione borseggiatrici, pick pocket, pick pocket." which in Slovenian means that they should beware that there are robbers here, and in this way it reveals the locals who would rob tourists in an inconspicuous way.

Thank God we weren't the victims of a tourist scam this year, but we still "hoped" to see this lady in person, because she seems like an empress to us, because that's how she saves tourists from being robbed.

Helping each other is the way to move forward as a society and the world. We all know that Italy itself is known for various tourist scams and many travellers are afraid to visit it as a result.

We can confirm for ourselves that we are very grateful to her, that she is so brave and that she cares about us travellers.
