If you pretend not to speak, will that stop them?

After the previous post, today it's time to share how we had to get away from two annoying younger men in a quick way.

As you probably know by now, we really love to go to the nearby countries and the Mediterranean Sea. :) Are you already going to the sea?

Last year we went to nearby Varaždin because we love it there. Have you already been to their well-known Špancirfest? For those of you who don't know, this is one of the most popular and biggest festivals in Croatia. It is a music and street festival; that is, a theatre-gastronomy-creative and traditional-entertainment festival. It is usually held at the end of August in the streets of the historical centre of Varaždin. Our tradition is to go on this trip together every year because this is the foundation of our friendship - exploring cities, cultures, and travelling together.

Let's continue with the fact that we had an unforgettable experience with this festival until last year, but something happened last year, yet we are determined that this will not stop us from going again this year.

We went there in the late afternoon, as it is not far from us, so we can go home whenever we feel like it. We walked around the festival, had something to eat and drink, listened to a concert, and headed back to the car. On the way to the car, we were stopped by two younger men, specifically two from Varaždin. They looked very drunk, so we pretended not to speak and started gesturing with our hands as if we didn't know what they were saying.

This did not stop them, because they started showing us on the phone that we should write on Google translate, then we just looked at each other and started to leave quickly, because it was not far from the car. They followed us for a while and talked. We quickly got into the car and locked it and drove off.

The lesson of this story is to get away from such a situation as soon as possible because we both tried to get rid of them and thank God they were not so persistent. Safer with knowledge.
