Don't let your guard down and don’t do things you wouldn't normally do just because you're on a trip

Today's topic will be a little more difficult, but it is necessary that many people think before they will accept a drink from a complete stranger.. I hope that many of us do not have such experiences.

Today we will write an experience that we will unfortunately never forget. The story is about when one of us was drugged. We were on a trip to Germany, with some mutual friends, and as you all probably know, Berlin parties are very famous for having a good time and good clubs, so we decided to go further to a bar for some cocktails and later to a nearby club.

The night started very well. As we left the bar, we met a group of guys from the UK who were drinking on the street, the same as we were at that moment. Of course, the group chat turns to the topic where they asked us if we have boyfriends and we said that our boyfriends are waiting for us in the club and that there are two girls here as a couple. While we were all talking, one older guy didn't say anything, he was completely silent, until he offered us a beer.

Of course, we all said yes, because at that moment we didn't realize what was going to happen to us. The guy turns away, does something, and offers two beers to one of us and another friend. The other three are offered by other boys. We didn't think that was strange and we each took a beer from them.

From then on, one of us and our friend don't remember anything, except that we took a sip of beer, and the rest is completely oblivious.. We woke up separated from the others, with tattered clothes. We had a complete meltdown as we didn't know anything except to realize that we were drugged, most likely by that quiet boy. As soon as we realized what had happened, we called our other friends to see if they could come to us, because we were emotionally devastated. It wasn't strange to the others that we weren't there, because they thought we had already gone back to the hotel, the other girls were escorted home by the boys.

The lesson is not to accept drinks from strangers, especially if they don't open the can/bottle in front of you. Take care of yourself! We both hated being more careful, too - or at least we wanted to be.
